Terror Attack

Terror attack in London
The papers scream aloud
For those with loved ones abroad
Trepidation descends like a cloud
Though no Malaysian is hurt
We feel for the dead and injured, no doubt.

Back home in Malaysia
Nothing is what it seems
Stopped on their tracks by police
Oh the many faces of would-be assassins
They fund, plot and recruit
Or offer themselves as the ultimate jihadist.

Nowhere is safe in the world
where people with twisted views their hatred unfurl
Where the innocent suffer with the perpetrator
All we can do is sit and pray.
