Misunderstood? (in jest)

I write simple poems
which get misunderstood
Just everyday poems
are misconstrued as rude

What really perplexes is
these plain words unadorned
are taken out of context
and misread as porn

So a simple phone charger
becomes an object of disgust
A back of head reminisce
equates to unvarnished lust

And a morning bathroom call
is so basic a function
yet gets strict disapproval
without any compunction

Now is it a blessing
or is it a curse?
that my tender sentiments
and humourous verse
should provoke raised eyebrows
your censure or worse?
