Champion

July 27, 2016

There’s still this bottle of Hibiki
Which our dear departed Jimmy
Presented to Chris and me
This I do not wish to challenge
Our new champion Keats
In his memory we will savor
Every sip till the last drop
Memories of times shared
Will accompany our chatter
As we recall our days in VI
Or times we spent together
Faded or crystal clear
It does not matter
With gusto and much laughter
Will recall shared moments
With more than just a Hibiki
Or any old whiskey
For we do miss our dear friend
Who reminded us to remember
Not to mourn but celebrate
To that, we drink,will drink
Continue to drink until Keats
Cache of whisky diminishes
Who will be left to decide
Who will still be standing beside
The last glass in hand
Having the last laugh
Will it be Tuck Yen or Henry
Vin, Kim Leong or Anthony
But I have a suspicion
A lady will be the champion!
