Four short poems
July 19, 2016
Age is but a number they say
But that is not what we see everyday
Many old people fall by the way
Or suffer from body-part decay
People like LKL are the lucky few
Hale and hearty and fresh as dew!
The dice of life keeps spinning
Does it favour me or you?
Who but God knows the answer
We live and pay our dues
So love, live, spread joy and laughter
Or do good within our means and power.
What a glorious day!
Awakened by the sun’s rays
The flowers in myriad hues delight
The birds a-chirping sound so right
The beauty of sight and sound
The warmth of friends abound
And feelings of goodwill surround.
Awash with new-found happiness
The Baltic lass does her chores
Something funny or loving recalled
And a smile sets its course
An irrespressible laugh breaks out
And a lamb to a lion roars!
