Lost in words
May 27, 2017
Born before 1950
When pen and paper was mightier
Than the android
A world of face to face communication
You can read the body language
And feel the emotions, well concealed
Express your feelings
That we now hide
behind our mobiles
in crafted language
and chosen words
We can undo at will
or redo
No room for impulsiveness
No magic in the moment
As we package our messages
Repackage
To suit
Or be ignored
A faceless life
Two dimensional
In a world at our feet
Alas we say things for effect
Not consequences
Words do not touch anymore
They are just a finger away
We live a life more informed
Nay, lies reconstituted
by images, mirrors
and narcissism disguised
