Another time of renewing friendships
Reminiscing the past as we are prone
Some forgotten moments quickly return
Like shadows catching up with us
As one conversation leads to another
Downing whiskeys, inhibitions down
Laughter and chuckles all around
Complimented by Assam prawns
Curry chicken,cucuk sayur and jiu hu char
Salad and sambal belacan paired
With Otak otak and sambal haebee
Kuih koci, madelines and coffee
In the presence of fine company.
To entertain us was Henry
With his fine vocal chords
He sang to keep us in a jovial mood.
Wish more were able to attend
Their reputation to defend
Else stories get out of hand.
Whiskeys and a wild imagination
Can be a potent combination.
When the wind whispers your name
Then you can be sure
You were fondly remembered
