What shall I have for breakfast today
Oh no the same spread everyday
No Nasi Lemak or Teh Tarik
Such cravings have to wait
Again the morning sun greets me
Thoughts of golfing tempts me
Oh why do the have to arrange meetings today
Why not tomorrow when I am no longer there
The breakfast crowd looks familiar
Their faces and expressions similar
Can’t help trying to read their minds
Any similarities to my thoughts I try to find
The morning western papers keep hammering China
Though their editors have not been to China
They think China’s economy is in decay
And reforms must not delay
If only they see the boom
They will stop spreading the gloom
